About The Position

As a Security Officer - Main Lobby Desk in Oakbrook Terrace, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy retail and mall location as a Front Desk Officer, where you will welcome guests, manage access, monitor cameras and alarms, and document security-related activity with clear communication. You will respond to calls for assistance, support tenant and visitor needs with customer service, and help coordinate with site teams. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and vendors at a front desk location by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access at the front desk by greeting and directing visitors, verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor passes as required, and maintaining a professional presence.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to management and/or emergency services per post orders.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and other building systems as assigned, and report unusual activity through approved communication channels.
• Complete detailed shift activity reports and other required documentation, including visitor logs, incident reports, and key control records.
