As an Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing location, you will help manage site entry by checking credentials, coordinating visitor access, and monitoring alarms and cameras. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with employees, contractors, and leadership. Requirements

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and employees by following site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies at a manufacturing location, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, confirming authorization, issuing temporary credentials when applicable, and maintaining visitor and contractor logs.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems and report irregular activity, access issues, and/or equipment concerns according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with notifications, documentation, and coordination with on-site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access, identify hazards, and report maintenance or operational concerns.
