As an Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, log visitors and deliveries, and respond to security-related concerns with clear communication and customer service. You will support a visible presence and complete required reporting while working with a team that values integrity. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver’s license per AU Driver Policy Requirements.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients at an industrial manufacturing location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Control access at entrances, gates, and/or loading areas by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing sign-in logs, and directing employees, contractors, and deliveries to the proper check-in points.
- Monitor alarms, access control systems, and camera views as assigned, reporting unusual activity and documenting events per post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and support a professional presence.
