As a Security Officer Luxury Gated Community in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a premier commercial real estate location, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, and support a professional, welcoming environment. In this role, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and property staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entrances, gates, and other access points to help control authorized entry and exit, verify visitor and vendor information, and document security-related activity according to location policies.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with property management and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property, common areas, parking locations, and perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and report security-related concerns.
  • Support front entry and lobby operations by assisting with directions, answering general questions, and maintaining accurate logs related to visitors, deliveries, and contractor access.
