As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will assist with access control and respond to reports, while delivering customer-focused communication to tenants, visitors, and staff. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A Guard Card and/or security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access to the property by monitoring entry points, verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing visitor passes, and directing guests to approved destinations per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with property management and/or local authorities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, building floors, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
  • Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, monitor cameras and/or alarm systems where assigned, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
