Job Description As a Security Officer - Logistics Yard Patrol in Knoxville, TN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and assist with access control and incident response as needed. Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting, documenting, and communicating observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, trailer yard, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or operational concerns.
- Support access control activities at entry points by monitoring vehicle and pedestrian traffic, verifying credentials and/or shipping information as directed by post orders, and directing drivers to designated areas.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and dock activity as assigned, and complete routine logs, incident reports, and shift briefings using site systems and/or Allied Universal reporting tools.
