As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support entry and exit procedures, communicate clearly with team members and site personnel, and deliver a strong customer service experience. You will work with an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations through established channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse areas, yard space, loading docks, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or property loss.
  • Monitor access control points and security-related systems such as cameras and alarm panels, and document observations, incidents, and shift activity in written logs.
  • Coordinate with site leadership and transportation personnel on dock and gate operations, including verifying credentials, directing traffic flow, and supporting control of restricted areas.
