As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will make routine rounds inside and around the facility, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service. You will document observations, support access control, and provide professional customer service to drivers and team members. Requirements
- A guard card and/or security license is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, yard, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify conditions that should be reported.
- Monitor access points and vehicle traffic flow, checking credentials and/or verifying deliveries and pickups in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance as directed and reporting events through required channels.
- Complete routine reports and maintain logs of patrol activity, incidents, and observations, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts as needed.
