Security Officer - Logistics Screening Specialist
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Logistics Screening Specialist in Rialto, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support a smooth operation by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, and screening people and items entering key work zones. You will stay highly visible, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with team members and site leadership. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Screen employees, visitors, drivers and vendors entering controlled areas, which may include checking identification, verifying appointments, confirming access authorization and directing individuals to the appropriate location.
- Support inbound and outbound operations by monitoring designated entry points and/or screening areas, observing for unusual activity and reporting concerns per site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site leadership and/or emergency services when required.
- Complete required logs and reports, including documenting screening activity, incidents and observations in accordance with site guidelines.
