About The Position

As a Security Officer - Logistics Screening Checkpoint in McCarran, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Your visible presence and attention to detail will contribute to a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. Requirements

A guard card or license is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Carry out screening procedures for personnel and/or materials entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location, following site-specific policies and protocols.
Provide customer service by assisting visitors and employees, addressing questions, and helping to direct individuals as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor entry and exit points, verifying credentials and maintaining logs as required by site policy.
Communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors, team members, and site personnel regarding security-related matters.
Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
