About The Position

As a Security Officer - Logistics Screening Operator in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, utilize your screening experience, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with screening procedures for individuals and/or packages entering the logistics and distribution location, following site-specific policies and protocols.
  • Provide customer service by greeting and assisting employees, visitors, and/or delivery personnel in a professional manner.
  • Carry out security-related procedures to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items from entering the site.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating as needed according to site guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas within the logistics and distribution environment to observe and report any unusual activity.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed by site management or Allied Universal protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs related to screening activities, incidents, and/or other security-related events as required by the location.
