Job Description As a Security Officer - Logistics Screening Operator in Indianapolis, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, utilize your screening experience, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $20.25 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Mon 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Tue 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Wed 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Thur 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Fri 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

Requirements

Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with screening procedures for individuals and/or packages entering the logistics and distribution location, following site-specific policies and protocols.
Provide customer service by greeting and assisting employees, visitors, and/or delivery personnel in a professional manner.
Carry out security-related procedures to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items from entering the site.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating as needed according to site guidelines.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas within the logistics and distribution environment to observe and report any unusual activity.
Support emergency response activities as directed by site management or Allied Universal protocols.
Maintain accurate records and logs related to screening activities, incidents, and/or other security-related events as required by the location.
