Job Description As a Security Officer - Logistics Screener Full-Time in Indianapolis, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by conducting screening at key access points, monitoring activity, and documenting security-related observations using site technology. You will remain visible, communicate clearly with team members and visitors, and respond to incidents with professionalism. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access Control and/or badge experience preferred.
Loss prevention experience preferred.
X-Ray screening experience preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 lbs preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
Screen personnel, visitors, and/or deliveries at designated checkpoints using approved screening methods and equipment, and control access based on site requirements.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
Monitor assigned areas such as entry points, staging lanes, and dock access for unusual activity that may help to deter policy violations, and document observations per procedure.
Complete reports and logs for screening activity, incidents, and access events, and communicate relevant information during shift handoff.
