About The Position

As a Security Officer - Logistics Screener in South Chesterfield, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and support loss prevention efforts within a dynamic logistics and distribution location. You will monitor access points, check badges, and interact with visitors and staff, all while providing outstanding customer service. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
Screen individuals entering the logistics and distribution location to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the logistics and distribution facility and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
Maintain detailed records of observations, incidents, and/or irregularities encountered during assigned shifts.
Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or delivery personnel to uphold site protocols.
Support Allied Universal management and site leadership by following established procedures and reporting any concerns promptly.
