As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Perform screening duties of personnel, vehicles, and/or packages entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location in accordance with site-specific protocols.
Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures.
Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment within the facility.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and its perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Document and report any incidents, irregularities, or unusual circumstances in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal supervisors to communicate security-related updates and maintain awareness of ongoing activities at the location.
