About The Position

As a Security Officer - Logistics Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge checks, respond to requests with strong communication, and deliver a customer-focused presence for employees and visitors. Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the facility, yard areas, and perimeter, checking for irregular activity, unsecured doors or gates, and/or operational hazards, and helping to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access points and loading or unloading areas, observe inbound and outbound vehicle and trailer movement, and report policy issues and/or suspicious behavior per site procedures.
  • Complete required reports and logs, document incidents and patrol activity, and communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and/or client representatives per site-specific requirements.
