Job Description As a Security Officer - Logistics Patrol in Roanoke, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols and provide outstanding customer service and communication, supporting a culture that values teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the logistics and distribution location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related issues.
Monitor access points and report any unusual or suspicious activity in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
Assist with the enforcement of company policies and procedures as they relate to security-related matters within the logistics and distribution environment.
Work collaboratively with site personnel and/or emergency responders during incidents or emergencies.
Complete security-related reports and documentation as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
