About The Position
As a Security Officer - Logistics Patrol Weekdays in East Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location as an unarmed Patrol Officer. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support associates, drivers, and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout buildings, yard areas, loading docks, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Control access at gates, entrances, and truck lanes by verifying identification, checking visitor and driver logs, and/or directing traffic flow per site procedures.
- Complete detailed reports on patrol observations, access activity, and incident response, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or client contacts.
