Requirements

A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the logistics and distribution location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas within the facility.
Maintain detailed and accurate logs of patrol activities and incidents as required by Allied Universal policies.
Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and delivery personnel to provide assistance and uphold site-specific protocols.
Support emergency response efforts by following established procedures and collaborating with local authorities when necessary.
