As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a busy logistics and distribution location, you will manage access control by greeting visitors, verifying credentials, monitoring entry points, and maintaining accurate logs. You will remain highly visible, respond to incidents, and communicate clearly with team members and site contacts to help support smooth operations. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, drivers, and visitors by following site-specific access procedures, identification checks, and visitor management requirements at a logistics and distribution location.
Operate access control points by monitoring entry and exit activity, verifying credentials, issuing temporary badges, maintaining accurate logs, and directing traffic flow as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including dispatching notifications, documenting details, and supporting emergency response activities per post orders.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, docks, trailer yards, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Monitor cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems, report suspicious activity, and complete routine reports and shift handoffs in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines.
