As a Screener with Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support security-related operations by screening people and deliveries, verifying credentials, monitoring activity, and completing clear reports. You will be a visible, customer-focused presence who communicates with site teams to help reduce incidents and keep operations moving. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $16.82 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Requirements

  • Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site employees, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen personnel, visitors, and deliveries as assigned, including checking identification, verifying authorization, and directing traffic flow to the appropriate area.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, maintain logs and badges as required, and report access concerns according to post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, dock areas, and perimeter, noting irregular activity and reporting maintenance or security-related concerns.
