As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, control visitor and vehicle access, and document activity with clear reports. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter incidents, and support security-related operations with professional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, drivers, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at entry and exit points by checking identification, verifying appointments and/or delivery paperwork, issuing visitor badges, and directing traffic flow in a professional manner.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound vehicle and trailer activity by reviewing bills of lading and/or seal information as required by site procedures, and documenting irregularities for follow-up.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the warehouse, dock areas, and perimeter as assigned, noting and reporting maintenance concerns, unsecured doors, and other security-related issues.
