Job Description As a Security Officer - Logistics Facility Access in Nazareth, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the logistics and distribution location.
- Verify credentials and/or identification of individuals entering or exiting the facility.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter potential issues.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities and incidents as required by site procedures.
- Communicate with Allied Universal management and site personnel regarding security-related matters as needed.
