Requirements

  • Have 2 or more years of security experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following site-specific screening procedures and customer service standards at a government facility entrance.
  • Screen people and belongings using approved methods and equipment, verify identification and/or credentials, and help direct visitors to the appropriate locations.
  • Monitor access points and surrounding entry areas, document unusual activity, and help to deter unauthorized entry through consistent screening practices.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying the appropriate personnel and following emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Complete required logs, incident reports, and pass-down communication in a timely manner in support of Allied Universal security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
