About The Position

As a Security Officer - Logistics Entry Screener in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help create a secure environment for staff and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service. You will utilize technology as needed and assist with access control, contributing to a positive and professional atmosphere. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Screen individuals, packages, and/or materials entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location to help to deter prohibited items or unauthorized access.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support security-related protocols.
Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities according to site-specific procedures.
Communicate and collaborate with team members and site personnel to maintain a professional presence and support security-related operations at the location.
