As an Access Control Officer within a logistics and distribution environment, you will monitor entrances, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure atmosphere for staff and visitors, reflecting Allied Universal's values of integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Primarily driving post is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry to the logistics and distribution location.
Verify credentials of employees, visitors, and vendors seeking entry to the premises.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter security-related incidents.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures.
Provide customer service by assisting individuals with questions regarding access procedures and site policies.
Document and report any irregularities, security-related incidents, or unusual activity as observed during shifts.
Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders as needed during security-related situations.
