As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, check badges, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at logistics and distribution locations.
Monitor and control access to the facility, verifying credentials of personnel, visitors, and vehicles entering or exiting the premises.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities as required by site procedures.
Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
Support site operations by maintaining awareness of the logistics and distribution environment and adapting to changing situations as needed.
