Requirements
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access points at the logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
- Assist in implementing and following site-specific security-related procedures and policies as directed by Allied Universal and the client site.
- Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and offering guidance to visitors, contractors, and/or employees at the location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as necessary according to established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or potential threats.
- Document and report any suspicious activity, security-related incidents, or policy violations according to Allied Universal procedures.
- Support emergency response activities, including assisting with evacuations and/or lockdowns when appropriate.
- Collaborate with site personnel and local authorities as needed to address security-related concerns.
