About The Position

As a Security Officer - Logistics Access Desk in Whitsett, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entrances and exits, check credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access. Your presence and attention to detail contribute to a secure environment while delivering outstanding customer service. You will use technology to support your duties, interact with visitors and employees, and embody our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry to the logistics and distribution location.
  • Verify credentials and identification of individuals entering or exiting the premises to support access control procedures.
  • Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting visitors and/or personnel with access-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to observe for unusual activity and/or potential security-related concerns.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and irregularities as required by site-specific policies.
  • Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal management to maintain a secure environment aligned with client expectations.
