Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the property by verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and/or vehicles in a logistics and distribution environment.
Provide customer service by assisting employees and/or visitors with questions and directions in a professional manner.
Follow site-specific policies and procedures related to access control, reporting all security-related incidents and/or suspicious activity to Allied Universal management and client representatives as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related issues.
Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response protocols when appropriate.
Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of daily activities and incidents for review by Allied Universal and client management.
Participate in periodic training sessions and/or briefings to stay updated on access control procedures and security-related responsibilities.
