As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, check credentials, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the logistics and distribution facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or security-related incidents within the location to the appropriate personnel.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and access control logs as required by site procedures.
Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and management to address inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
