As a Security Officer - Welcome Center Desk in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will greet employees and visitors, manage check-in procedures, monitor access points and/or lobby activity, and communicate clearly with staff when security-related concerns arise. You will be a visible, professional presence that helps support a welcoming environment while delivering customer service with integrity. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a front desk within a financial institution by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access by greeting and directing visitors, verifying identification and/or appointments as required, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining a professional lobby presence that helps to deter unauthorized access.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems, and report and/or escalate suspicious activity, policy violations, or service concerns per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating communications with site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
  • Complete security-related logs and reports such as visitor activity, incident documentation, and shift handoff notes, and support administrative tasks as assigned by site leadership.
