As a Security Officer - Main Desk Driver in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a financial services location, you will welcome employees and visitors, manage access control and badging, answer phones, document activity, and respond to alarms and other security-related concerns with calm, clear communication. You will represent Allied Universal with integrity, teamwork, and a caring, people-first approach while supporting a reliable, agile, and innovative operation. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Four or more years of military or law enforcement experience or a criminal justice degree is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following Allied Universal security-related procedures and site-specific policies for a financial services location.
  • Greet and screen visitors, issue badges and/or access credentials, and maintain visitor and delivery logs in accordance with site requirements.
  • Monitor lobby activity, phones, cameras and/or alarm panels as assigned, and communicate unusual activity to site contacts and/or dispatch.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Support access control by verifying identification, managing keys and/or access cards, and documenting security-related incidents and service requests.
