About The Position

As a Security Officer - Financial Lobby Support in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a leading financial institution, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and employees, helping to deter security-related incidents while delivering exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk of a financial institution location.
  • Monitor access to the facility, verifying identification and credentials of visitors, employees, and vendors as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Assist with emergency response activities when required, including communicating with first responders and management.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and visitor logs as directed by Allied Universal and client requirements.
  • Support a welcoming and professional environment at the front desk, helping to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members regarding security-related matters and site-specific information.
