As a Security Officer - Lobby Screening in Boise, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener at a leading tech location, you will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, manage access control and badge checks, and perform entry screening that helps reduce security-related incidents. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and report concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a technology location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries at designated entry points using approved screening methods and access control processes, and direct individuals to proper check-in locations.
  • Verify identification, credentials, and visitor authorization, issue temporary badges as directed, and maintain accurate access logs and reports per site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, loading docks, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual conditions, documenting observations per procedure.
