You will remain visible, perform routine patrols of nearby areas as assigned, and document security-related observations and incidents. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following site-specific screening procedures, access control policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Screen visitors and belongings using approved methods and equipment, verify identification and/or credentials when required, and direct individuals to appropriate entry points and services.
  • Maintain a professional presence at screening checkpoints, monitor for prohibited items or suspicious behavior, and help to deter unauthorized entry or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, notifications to site contacts, and detailed documentation.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of designated public areas and perimeter zones when assigned, and report maintenance issues, hazards, and/or unusual conditions through appropriate channels.
