About The Position

As a Security Officer - Lobby Screening Post in Waimanalo, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As a Screener at a busy food and beverage location, you will welcome guests and employees, manage entry screening, and help maintain a professional presence that supports security-related operations. You will follow site procedures, observe activity for irregularities, document incidents, and communicate clearly with team members and local leadership. Requirements

• A guard card and/or applicable license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, vendors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage location.
• Screen individuals entering the location by verifying identification and/or access credentials, directing foot traffic, and communicating entry requirements in a professional manner.
• Monitor entrances, queuing areas, and nearby sales areas for unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access, theft-related activity, and/or disruptive behavior.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services when needed and completing required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, stock areas, and the perimeter as assigned, noting hazards, suspicious conditions, and/or policy violations for follow-up.
