Job Description As a Security Officer Lobby Screener in Kailua Kona, HI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a government location, where you will help monitor entry points, screen visitors and property, and support access control procedures with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and security-related policies at a government location.
  • Screen visitors, staff, and permitted items at designated entry points while verifying identification, credentials, and/or required documentation.
  • Monitor entrances and public areas for unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access through attentive observation and professional presence.
  • Respond to incidents, prohibited items, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with court personnel, visitors, and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
  • Complete assigned logs, reports, and other documentation related to screening activity, visitor processing, and security-related incidents.
