About The Position

As a Security Officer Lobby Screener in Kailua Kona, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by following site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and security-related policies at a government location.
Screen visitors, staff, and permitted items at designated entry points while verifying identification, credentials, and/or required documentation.
Monitor entrances and public areas for unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access through attentive observation and professional presence.
Respond to incidents, prohibited items, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with court personnel, visitors, and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
Complete assigned logs, reports, and other documentation related to screening activity, visitor processing, and security-related incidents.
