Job Description As a Security Officer - Lobby Screener in Philadelphia, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Screener in a healthcare location, you will greet staff, patients, and visitors while supporting a welcoming environment through security-related screening and access procedures. You will monitor entry points, verify identification, manage badges and/or visitor logs, and communicate concerns to the team. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at a healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct entry screening duties for staff, patients, and visitors, including verifying authorization to enter, directing foot traffic, and communicating screening requirements in a respectful manner.
  • Support access control by monitoring entrances and exits, maintaining visitor logs as required, issuing temporary credentials when directed, and reporting access concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and documenting events per site procedure.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas such as lobbies, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
