As a Front Desk Security Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will be the first point of contact for tenants and visitors, providing a welcoming presence while supporting security-related operations. You will help manage access, monitor alarms and/or cameras, document activity, and communicate clearly with on-site teams and building partners. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors at a commercial property front desk by following site-specific security-related procedures, access guidelines, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor the lobby and reception area, observe for unusual activity, and help to deter unauthorized access by verifying identification, managing visitor registration, and issuing badges and/or temporary credentials as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including receiving calls for assistance, gathering initial details, and notifying site management and/or emergency services per post orders.
  • Operate and monitor security-related systems at the front desk such as CCTV, access control, and alarm panels, and document observations and incidents according to reporting requirements.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records such as visitor entries, deliveries, keys, and contractor check-ins and/or check-outs, and communicate pertinent information during shift change and with site contacts.
