About The Position

As a Security Officer - Lobby Reception Desk in Lake Mary, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a fast-paced tech, media, and telecom location, you will greet employees and visitors, manage access control and badging, and monitor cameras and alarms for security-related concerns. You will document incidents, communicate clearly with site teams, and respond quickly to requests while maintaining a professional, service-first presence that helps to deter issues. At Allied Universal, you will work with an agile, reliable, innovative team that leads with integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out site-specific procedures and access control processes for a tech-focused location.
  • Greet employees, visitors, and contractors, verify identification and/or authorization, issue temporary badges or passes as directed, and maintain visitor and delivery logs.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems from the front desk, report irregular activity, and escalate concerns through the chain of command.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities when appropriate and documenting actions taken.
  • Support lobby operations by coordinating with onsite contacts, answering phones and/or directing inquiries, and assisting with general security-related requests while maintaining a professional presence.
