Job Description As a Security Officer - Lobby Reception in Asheboro, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will greet employees, contractors, and visitors, manage access control, issue badges, and verify credentials. You will monitor cameras and alarms, document activity in detailed reports, and communicate quickly with site teams to help address security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by greeting and assisting employees, contractors, and visitors at the front desk, following site-specific access procedures for a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Monitor and control entry by verifying identification, managing visitor registration, issuing temporary badges, and directing arrivals to the appropriate check-in points per site policy.
  • Operate the front desk communications center by answering phones and radios, dispatching calls for service, and documenting requests for assistance and/or reports of unusual conditions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and supporting emergency response activities as directed by site procedures.
  • Complete required security-related logs and reports, including access records, incident documentation, and shift activity summaries, and communicate pertinent information during post transitions.
