Job Description As a Security Officer Lobby Desk in Bethel, CT , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal at a welcoming front desk location, where you will greet visitors, manage access, monitor activity, and support security-related operations through clear communication and customer service. In this people-first role, you will remain a visible, reliable presence while helping to address concerns and uphold site procedures with integrity, teamwork, and a caring approach.

Requirements

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Monitor front desk activity, greet visitors, and/or assist with access control and visitor processing in accordance with site-specific procedures.
  • Answer phones, direct inquiries, and/or support personnel and guests with information and front desk assistance.
  • Document incidents, observations, and/or unusual activity and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal management as appropriate.
