About The Position

As a Security Officer - Lobby Access in Watsonville, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy healthcare location where you will manage access control, greet staff and visitors, verify credentials, and guide people to the right areas while supporting a positive experience. You will stay visible, conduct routine rounds as assigned, document activity, and communicate clearly with the care team to help reduce security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Control access at assigned entrances by verifying identification, issuing and/or collecting visitor credentials, and directing patients, visitors, vendors, and staff according to facility guidelines.
  • Monitor access points, alarms, and/or CCTV as assigned; document unusual activity and report concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; assist with de-escalation and coordinate with clinical staff and local responders when requested.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including exterior perimeter and parking areas, to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity; complete required reports and shift logs.
