Requirements

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a residential location.
  • Monitor front desk activity, manage visitor access procedures, and communicate clearly with residents, guests, vendors, and/or property staff regarding building protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details according to site expectations.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by maintaining awareness of entry points, verifying credentials when required, and documenting security-related events and/or unusual activity.
