Job Description As a Security Officer - Licensed Patrol Post in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and communicate clearly with tenants, visitors, and on-site teams. Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior common areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and building activity, verify credentials as required, and direct guests and deliveries according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, assisting with scene control, and/or coordinating with property staff and first responders as needed.
• Complete shift reports and incident documentation, communicate key information during post handoffs, and support investigations by preserving observations and available video and/or access control details per site policy.
