Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to service requests, and communicate clearly with tenants, visitors, and property staff. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and tenants at a commercial office property by carrying out site-specific, security-related procedures, access control, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior common areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and building perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, alarm activations, and suspicious activity, and notify Allied Universal management and/or property contacts as needed.
  • Monitor cameras, alarm panels, and visitor or contractor activity as applicable to the location, and assist with directing people to appropriate entrances, loading areas, or tenant spaces.
  • Complete required reports and logs, document incidents accurately, and communicate shift updates to the oncoming officer and/or site leadership.
