About The Position

As a Security Officer - Industrial Rover in Council Bluffs, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a professional atmosphere for employees and visitors. You will communicate clearly, document observations, and respond to situations with teamwork and integrity, reflecting a caring culture that is agile, reliable, and innovative.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience providing customer service is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Having a state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout industrial buildings, production areas, yards, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Control access at gates and entry points by verifying credentials, issuing visitor badges, maintaining visitor and vehicle logs, and directing traffic flow per site requirements.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, disturbances, and suspicious activity to appropriate contacts.
Complete detailed reports and daily activity logs, communicate observations to site leadership, and assist with security-related inspections of doors, locks, lighting, and alarms.
