Job Description As a Security Officer - Industrial Patrol Driver in Reston, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a fast-paced telecom and technology location. You will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and requests with calm, clear communication and strong customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license under AU Driver Policy Requirements, where teamwork, integrity, and innovation guide every shift.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to client employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and telecommunications location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including building entrances, parking areas, loading and delivery zones, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and alarms and/or video surveillance systems, report irregular conditions, and coordinate with onsite contacts and/or public responders as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical situations, suspicious activity, and/or facility issues, and assist with crowd and traffic flow when required.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and service requests in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate updates to supervisors and the client representative.
